Public Interest Disclosure Reports
Effective April 1, 2022, the jurisdiction of the Public Interest Disclosure Act (PIDA) was extended over several public bodies, including the Surface Rights Board (SRB). PIDA provides a framework for employees to report specific kinds of serious wrongdoing with legislated protection from reprisal. Section 38 of PIDA requires the SRB to report annually on all wrongdoings made in the past year.
